Franc Gogh has ventured into various themes and pictorial styles, such as the abstract, realism among others, as well as acrylic and oil are the main materials used in his work.
Currently, he makes a series of paintings that highlight aspects and traditions of his native region in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Region known as the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, where the regional costumes worn mainly by native women attract the attention of locals and strangers for their joy and beauty manifested in colors, variety and materials used in their clothing, as well as the use of clothing and jewelry of gold and precious stones that they hold traditionally.
Said clothing ranges from simple and large skirts and “huipiles” to gala costumes for parties and gatherings of various socioeconomic levels, held in honor of Saints and local patrons such as Juchitán de Zaragoza, Tehuantepec and Ixtepec Oaxaca, Mexico, among many other communities of the region. It is therefore the inspiration of Franc Gogh, his origins, women and traditions of his native province.
Franc Gogh has participated in local and regional events and exhibitions where he is invited to exhibit and sell his work and currently seeks to disseminate them nationally and worldwide.
